Kenwood, Weybridge:
A large 1930’s “Arts & Crafts” house set in the woodland of St George’s Hill, Surrey, Kenwood was once owned by John Lennon! For a new Russian client and in collaboration with MMM Architects, our brief was the redesign of an existing garden terrace. Used for outdoor dining, our layout included new water pools & cascades (carefully detailed to match the existing architecture), timber decking and an outdoor kitchen barn.
Timber decking contrasts with terrace walls
Twin water chutes from each pool
New terraces, pools & planting
Slate water chutes were carefully designed to give a clean water curtain & correct acoustics
Aged terracotta pots & topiary on pool edges
Large central pool evocative of an Art & Crafts “dipping pool”
Large stepping stones through pools
Outdoor kitchen & BBQ within a new oak framed barn
