Kensington Gate, W8:
A new multi-level contemporary city garden for a large listed London town-house. Below the existing house, architects Michalis Boyd LLP proposed a “deep basement” extension, over which we proposed a series of garden spaces. A challenging project, work was completed in 2014.
Images: sunken courtyard walls were visually softened with “living walls” inset into brick walls.
Modern touches; such as sawn limestone cladding & steps.
Long vertical “living walls” as boundary planting.
A contemporary limestone feature wall to the rear of the garden.
